If you're headed out to Frontier Park this afternoon, you may want to grab your rain poncho.

According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, showers and thunderstorms will start popping up this afternoon, and thunderstorms that do develop, mainly east of the Laramie Range, could be strong to severe.

"Potential hazards in the strongest storms include hail, gusty and erratic winds, and frequent lightning," the NWS said.

The NWS says things will start to dry out and warm up Saturday onward into next week.

"Looks like the Panhandle could begin hitting the century mark as early as Sunday, with 90s across southeast Wyoming," the NWS said.

20/720PM: Greetings! Looks like we have one more day of possible severe thunderstorms for Friday, before the weather turns drier and warmer across southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. Severe storms looking pretty good for southeast Wyoming Counties along and near the Laramie Range, eastward into the central Nebraska Panhandle Friday afternoon and evening. The weather turns warmer and drier for Saturday onward into next week. Looks like the Panhandle could begin hitting the century mark as early as Sunday, with 90s across southeast Wyoming.
