The 2018 Wyoming Cowgirls soccer schedule has been unveiled. It features nine home matches out of 20 on the slate.

Four of the Cowgirls first six will be on the road. That includes an exhibition match at Central Florida Aug. 9.

The season officially opens Aug. 16 at South Dakota. Wyoming’s first home match will be Aug. 19 against Utah Valley University.

The Cowgirls will also host Northern Iowa (Aug. 24) and Montana (Sept. 7) during the non-league portion of their schedule.

One big highlight is a visit by the Iowa Hawkeyes Sunday, Sept. 9 at noon. It marks the first time in program history that a Big 10 team will visit the Gem City in women's soccer.

After that, UW will play five straight road matches between Sept. 14 and Sept. 30, which includes their first four in the Mountain West.

The positive is the Cowgirls will have five of their last seven at the friendly confines of the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex, including three in a row to wrap up the regular season.

The Mountain West Championships will be Oct. 30 – Nov. 3 in San Jose, CA.

Matches are primarily on Fridays and Sundays, with the exception of their exhibition, South Dakota (Thurs), Idaho State (Thurs) and Northern Colorado (Tues) game dates.
