If you think our weather has been windy even for Wyoming, you are right.

That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service, which says the first 24 days of March have been exceptionally windy.

The agency says Cheyenne has recorded an average wind speed of 15.02 miles per hour. The is the highest for that time period since 2003, when an average hourly wind speed of 16.87 miles per hour was recorded over that same period.

Record Number Of Days With Winds Of 50 Plus MPH

According to the post: "In addition, Cheyenne has seen wind gusts of 50 mph or greater on 8 separate days this month so far, which ties 2009 for the most 50+mph gust days in the month of March. The 10 High Wind Warnings issued by NWS Cheyenne so far this month is the second highest on record for March (after 11 in 2011)."
