Mountain Lion Sighted in Cheyenne

A mountain lion was sighted in northeast Cheyenne Tuesday night.

Laramie County Sheriff's Office spokesman Brandon Warner says residents on Newland Avenue reported seeing a mountain lion in the area around 9:30 p.m.

Several police officers, deputies and a game warden responded to the area, but they were unable to locate the lion.

It was just a few weeks ago that a Fort Collins man fought off and killed a mountain lion after it attacked him during a trail run in Lory State Park.
