UPDATE: Rock Springs Police are now saying they believe the vehicle was an older model white Ford pickup.

Police in Rock Springs are trying to find the driver of a vehicle that hit a power pole, causing a power outage early Saturday morning.

That's according to a post on the RSPD Facebook page. According to the post, police were called to 117 Elk Street early Saturday morning on a report of a hit-and-run crash, Investigating officers found that a suspect vehicle had crashed into a power pole, knocking it over and causing a brief power outage.

The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. Police think the vehicle was a newer model Black Ford Truck based on debris found at the scene.

Investigators are collecting surveillance from the area in hopes of finding more clues, but in the meantime they are asking anyone with information on the case to call them and reference case R23-00822.
