Men Facing Felony Marijuana Charges After Traffic Stop in Southeast Wyoming
Two Florida men are facing felony drug charges after a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper found nearly 40 pounds of marijuana in their car.
According to court documents, 21-year-old Serxhio Nokaj and 22-year-old Ndue Qsoja, both of Palm Harbor, were pulled over for speeding on Interstate 80 near Egbert around 6:15 a.m. on September 13.
During the course of the traffic stop, circumstances arose that led to a probable cause search of the vehicle and 35 packages of marijuana, weighing 38.89 pounds, were found in the trunk.
A vacuum sealer, vacuum sealer bags and a small booklet with ledgers suspected to be directly related to the purchase and sale of narcotics were also found.
Nokaj and Qsoja were arrested and have been charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and felony possession of marijuana. If convicted, they could face up to 15 years in prison.
Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for September 22 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
