Man Arrested For Knife Attack On Fort Collins Deliveryman
A 23-year-old Fort Collins man has been arrested for attacking a delivery driver with a knife outside of an apartment building on Monday morning, according to a post on the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook page.
According to the post, the suspect, 23-year-old Eissa Alameri, contacted an on-demand shopping service to have some items delivered to his home in the 2600 block of Raintree Drive.
When the delivery driver arrived at his door, Alameri allegedly attacked him with a knife. The driver, a 55-year-old man, was able to disarm Alameri and retreated to a safe place until officers arrived.
But Alameri refused to comply with police, first threatening them with a knife and then running away to a stairwell where he barricaded himself inside. But police were finally able to arrest him around 8:30 a.m.
The delivery man, who suffered minor injuries in the attack, was treated by medical crews at the scene. Alameri has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, second-degree assault and menacing. All three charges are felonies.
