Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney says people need to get over Trump being President.

"People are still unwilling to accept the results of the election," said Cheney. "Elections matter and Trump won, he's the President."

While he's caught flak for his executive order on immigration, Cheney believes Trump's promise to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the U.S. is a big reason he won the presidency.

"We had a President for a number of years who kept promising us that he was vetting refugees, that we knew that anybody who was being let in was not a threat," said Cheney. "Those were just lies."

"President Trump has basically said wait a minute, if we don't have a process in place to vet people from countries where we know there's significant terrorist activity, where we know they're trying to infiltrate, then we're going to stop it, and that's what he's done," she added.

Cheney says she doesn't expect Trump's travel ban to be lifted until vetting processes can be put in place.
