On Saturday May 12, Cheyenne and Laramie County letter carriers will help ''stamp out hunger" by conducting the largest single day food drive in the nation, according to Sara Weber with United Way of Laramie County. She says people can contribute to the drive by leaving non- perishable items such as canned goods, rice and pasta by their mail boxes Saturday. Weber says all of the food collected will go to local food banks, specifically the Salvation Army, Needs Inc. Comea House, and Safehouse Services. Weber says that anyone who would like to contribute to the drive but cannot leave food by their mailbox can donate at the main Cheyenne Post Office at 4800 Converse Avenue.
