Laramie County School District 1 on Friday reported that 13 students and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past week, eight more cases than the previous week.

"These individuals were at the following locations -- Central High, East High, Henderson Elementary, Hobbs Elementary, Johnson Junior High, McCormick Junior High and South High," LCSD1 Superintendent Dr. Boyd Brown said in a news release.

Brown says those who had direct contact with the individuals who tested positive will be contacted and will receive guidance regarding next steps.
