The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says southeast Wyoming residents could face severe storms this afternoon and evening [June 16].

The primary threats are large hail and damaging winds. But flash flooding an isolated tornado are possible.

The agency posted the following on its website; Morning Update 6/16/25: There is a marginal to enhanced risk of severe weather across southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska today. The main concern in storms will be large hail and damaging winds, but an isolated tornado could be possible. Storms will develop this afternoon and continue through the evening hours. Nocturnal convection cannot be ruled out after midnight as well.
