Laramie County Voters Cast Ballots In Special Election Today
UPDATE: County Clerk Debra Lee says there were some problems with voting machines at some of the voting centers, but she says those have now been fixed. Lee says the technical problems were all fixed by 7:20 a.m., about 20 minutes after voting started this morning.
Laramie County voters go to the polls today to decide the fate of a proposed Laramie County Community College bond issue today. You can see a sample ballot for the bond issue here.
To be eligible to vote, people must be U.S. citizens, residents of Laramie County, at least 18 years old, and if convicted of a felony, must have had their voting rights restored.
Wyoming allows same-day voter registration, but new voters must present a government-issued photo ID. A Wyoming driver's license is the preferred document, according to Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee.
Vote centers where voters can register and vote are: Storey Gym, 2811 House Ave; Kiwanis Community House, 4603 Lions Park Dr; VFW 1881, 2816 E 7th ; Cheyenne Berean Church, 5716 Powderhouse Rd; Alliance Church, 5200 Ridge Rd; First Congregational Church, 3501 Forest Dr; Yellowstone Baptist Church, 9204 Yellowstone; LCCC, 1400 E College Dr; David Romero Park, 1317 Parsley Blvd; Laramie County Fair, 3965 Archer Pkwy, ‘M’ Bldg; Burns Plex, 327 S Main; and Pine Bluffs Community Center, 708 Lawson St., and Gilchrist School, 1108 Happy Jack Road.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
