August 18th is Primary Election Day in Wyoming.

Statewide races include primary elections for governor, with incumbent Republican Mark Gordon leaving office after two terms. In the U.S. Senate, incumbent Republican Cynthia Lummis is leaving office. Wyoming's U.S. House seat is also on the ballot. There will be no incumbent in that race, as Rep. Harriet Hageman is running for the open Senate seat.

This is the first time since 1994 in Wyoming that the races for governor, the U.S. House, and a U.S. Senate seat will all have no incumbents running.

The races for Wyoming Secretary of State and Superintendent of Public Instruction are also open, with the incumbents in those offices running for higher office

About half of Wyoming's 31 state Senate Seats and all 62 Wyoming House seats are up for election.

Local Offices, 6th Penny Proposals On The Ballot

In Laramie County, three city council seats and three Laramie County Commission seats are on the ballot, as is the sheriff's office. Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee is retiring as well, so no incumbent is in the race for that office.

Laramie County voters will also decide the fate of several projects proposed for funding under the optional 6th penny sales tax. You can read more about those proposals here.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m..

Laramie County does not have assigned polling locations, but voters can instead choose where to vote from among several designated vote centers

WOW - Amaizing Cheyenne Air Show 2026

Wyoming has a rich and varied aviation history. The Wyoming Aviation Heritage League is an education and fundraising organization. They do not yet have an aviation museum representing Wyoming as a whole; they hope to change that!

Welcome to their 3rd annual air show.
