Laramie County has lifted a partial fire ban that was imposed in August. The Laramie County Commission had imposed the ban on August 2.

It was one of several partial or total fire bans imposed in different areas of the state as hot, dry weather raised the fire danger across Wyoming. The Laramie County ban included a prohibition on outdoor fires in unimproved areas except for under certain conditions.

Campfires were allowed only in established fire rings. Various other restrictions were imposed on propane fires, welding, branding operations and other potential fire hazards.

The Laramie County Commission took the action on Tuesday following a recent trend of cool, wet weather in the area.
