The theft is alleged to have occurred between Feb. 4 and March 10.

Initial Court Appearance

On the afternoon of Nov. 21, Barragan Corcuera was seen in Circuit Court in front of Judge Sean C. Chambers on the charge.

Chambers appointed Barragan Corcuera a public defender and set his preliminary hearing for Monday, Dec. 1, at 11:30 a.m.

Chambers then asked for the state's bond recommendation.

"The state has significant concerns over his ties to the community," the state said. "Additionally, I see a prior failure to appear from earlier this year."

"The underlying conduct certainly gives the state concern for the safety of the community (and) his ability to comply," the state added. "The state has concerns for his willingness and ability to return to court in Laramie County. For those reasons, the state believes that a cash bond is appropriate and would request $7,500 cash."

Bond Set at $35K Cash

"I'm going to set the bond at $35,000 cash," Chambers told Barragan Corcuera.
