Laramie County Absentee Voting Up 92 Percent From 2014
Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says 92 percent more absentee ballots have been requested by local voters compared to the last primary election in a non-presidential election year in the state.
In 2014, a total of 1100 absentee ballots were mailed out to Laramie County voters ahead of that year's primary election. This year, 2111 such ballots had been sent out by the end of business on August 14. Four more days of early and absentee voting remain before Tuesday's primary election.
The last day for early voting is Monday, Aug. 20 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. in the Atrium of the Laramie County Governmental Complex.
Absentee ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on Tuesday to be counted in the election.
