Over 40 Percent Of Laramie County Voters Have Voted Early As Of Friday
Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says early voting in the county is setting records so far.
That is with a week left before election day.
Statement From Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee
When contacted by Townsquare Media of Cheyenne on Monday about early voting in the county, Lee gave us the following statement:
''Early voting has not slowed down. We continue to set records. As of Friday (Oct. 25), a total of 11, 348 voters have cast their ballots in person. This represents 29% of registered voters! (Total registered voters is 38,619.)
Absentee mail ballots are still coming in. 4366 mail ballots have been received to date, putting the total number of voters who have voted in advance of Election Day at 15,714—41% of registered voters.
Nearly 1700 absentee mail ballots are outstanding.''
Laramie County is not unusual in seeing large numbers of voters casting early ballots, as widespread reports from across the country are confirming the same trend.
