Most people instantly recognize his voice. You've heard him narrating on national commercials, doing podcast interviews, or hosting shows like 'Dirty Jobs'.

Mike Rowe is coming back to Casper, and this time to be a part of a big announcement from Wells Fargo about a major grant to the Wyoming Housing Network supporting the Goodwill Landing Housing Innovation Project in Casper. This will be a huge investment in expanding affordable housing, workforce training at Casper College, and economic growth across Wyoming.

It's not Mike Rowe's first trip to Casper; in the fall of 2023, he headlined "An Evening with Mike Rowe" at the Ford Wyoming Center. While in town, he felt Wyoming kindness firsthand when a patron dining near him at the Silver Fox picked up his check.

Rowe has long been an ambassador for blue-collar trades, which inspired his show 'Dirty Jobs,' and he even started the Mike Rowe WORKS Foundation in 2008. The foundation is working to raise the appeal of skilled trades back to America and help future generations get the training needed for in-demand jobs. Each year, the foundation awards millions of dollars in scholarships to people interested in pursuing a career in the trades.

Rowe will join a discussion that will also feature Governor Mark Gordon for a skilled workforce panel. The event will be held on August 19th at the Gertrude Kampert Theater on the Casper College campus from 1 to 2:30.

Then he will see a demonstration of High Performance Cellular Concrete building technology used in the Goodwill Landing project, a scalable housing model designed for communities across Wyoming.

The Tate Geological Museum Casper Wyoming

The Tate Geological Museum was founded in 1980 through a gift from Marion and Inez Tate. It was originally designated as the Tate Earth Science Center and Mineralogical Museum. Because ‘geological’ encompasses earth science, mineralogy, and paleontology, the name was changed to the Tate Geological Museum in 2001.

Located on the Casper College campus, the museum is a great resource for the community. Many local schools and groups come to the museum to add to their student's learning experience.

Tate houses a collection of over 6000 fossil and mineral specimens.
