Former Wyoming Guard Lands at Third School in as Many Seasons
LARAMIE -- Jared Harris has landed at his third school in as many years.
The well-traveled junior announced Thursday he has signed at Prairie View A&M in his home state of Texas. The 6-foot-2 guard from Silsbee, who was once tabbed a four-star recruit and the No. 86 overall prospect in the country, began his college career at Memphis before spending last season in Laramie.

Harris missed the final 20 games of the season, including Wyoming's appearance in the National Invitational Tournament, sidelined by a lingering toe injury.
He played in just two Mountain West Conference games: an opening home loss to Grand Canyon and a 12-point victory at Air Force, finishing with six points on just 1-of-6 shooting in the latter. He was 3-for-3 from the free-throw line in Colorado Springs.
His best outing in a Cowboys' uniform came in mid-November when he netted 16 in a rout of visiting Portland. Harris drilled 4-of-8 attempts from beyond the arc. He also added four rebounds and a pair of steals in the 93-56 victory.
After seeing action in just 16 games during his lone season at Memphis, Harris played in just a dozen at Wyoming, averaging four points an outing while on the floor for nearly 10 minutes.
Harris averaged 21.4 points per game during his senior year of high school, along with 5.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists. He ranked 45th in the nation with 309 field goals. This offseason, he reportedly received interest from the likes of Nebraska, North Texas, UNLV, and others.
Harris was one of five Cowboys to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal at season's end, joining fellow guards Adam Harakow (Western Michigan) and Damarion Dennis (Texas Tech). Forwards Abou Magassa (UNC-Asheville) and Simm-Martin Saadi (Central Arkansas) also found new landing spots.
Kiani Saxon, Matija Belic and the team's leading scorer, Leland Walker, all exhausted their eligibility.

Sundance Wicks and Co. have added five new faces to the roster this offseason, most recently signing 6-foot-8 guard Mattia De Martin, who spent last season at Indian Hills Community College (Iowa), the same school that produced former Wyoming sharp-shooter Drake Jeffries.
De Martin joins fellow transfers Michael Mora (Cal State Monterey) and Parker Gerrits (Washington State), who are also guards. Wicks also reloaded his frontcourt, inking Germany's Linus Ruf and Renars Sondors (Louisiana Monroe).
Guards Naz Meyer and Khaden Bennett announced earlier this month they will return. That duo combined for nearly 24 points and 10 rebounds per game last winter. Back-up point guard Uriyah Rojas will also be back for his senior campaign. He netted 6.2 a night while averaging 16.5 minutes of court time.
Forward Gavin Gores will also be back for his sophomore season.
The Mountain West will look much different this fall with the departures of San Diego State, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and defending conference champion Utah State. Those five are headed to the reimagined Pac-12. The league will now welcome Hawaii and UTEP as full-time members. Grand Canyon was inserted a year ahead of schedule and finished fourth overall with 20 wins. UC Davis' basketball programs will also enter the league this summer.
UNLV, Air Force, New Mexico, Nevada and San Jose State also remain.
