Miles of I-80 in Wyoming Closed Due to Reduced Visibility
Interstate 80 between Rawlins and Laramie has reopened to all traffic except light and high-profile vehicles.
Black ice is still being reported between mile marker 57 (Unita County line) and Exit 83 (La Barge Road), as well as between Exit 111 (Rock Springs) and Exit 130 (Point of Rocks).
Reduced visibility has forced the closure of Interstate 80 between Walcott Junction and Laramie.
As of 7:04 a.m., the Wyoming Department of Transportation did not have an estimate as to when the roughly 75-mile stretch would reopen.
Eastbound I-80 between Rawlins and Walcott Junction is also closed due to reduced visibility, while the westbound lanes are only closed to light and high-profile vehicles.
Black ice advisories are also in effect between Exit 39 (Lyman) and Exit 111 (Rock Springs).
Drivers are encouraged to call 511 or go to wyoroad.info for the latest road conditions and closures.
