Board of Public Utilities Water Crews will be flushing hydrants in neighborhoods south of Missile Drive between Interstate 25 and Parsley Boulevard through Friday, according to BOPU spokesman Clint Bassett.

He says water customers in those areas may temporarily experience discolored water. He says that water is still safe to drink, although it's not up to usual BOPU water standards. Bassett says you should be able to clear the discolored water by running cold water from your tap for a couple of minutes or so. Bassett says if the discoloration doesn't clear after about 15 minutes, you  can call the BOPU at 637-6471.

The hydrant flushing will continue in various parts of city for the next three weeks or so.
