How Devil’s Kitchen Wyoming Got Its Name [VIDEO]

Located North of highway 14 in Wyoming, between the town of Greybull and the Bighorn Mountains, is an area known as Devil's Kitchen.

The geology of Devil's Kitchen is so unusual in places you might begin to wonder if you're on another planet.

Look around and you might find some dinosaur gizzard stones, called gastroliths, and there are some attractive chalcedony.

Devil’s Kitchen is a 115 acre geologic area. The movie “Starship Troopers” will come to mind if you're in the area. I thought that movie was filmed much farther south near Casper Wyoming. The area is a fine example of badlands topography.
