Some people will do anything to raise money for local charities. Take, for instance, our friend Bryan 'Alf' Grzegorczyk. Alf has been the brainchild behind our Thankful Thursday "party with a purpose" since its inception.

The event has raised over $700,000 for local charities over the years. Last night, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, a non profit organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans, set a new Thankful Thursday record, raising over $26,000 in one night.

True to his word, Alf made good on his promise to don a skimpy bikini after one incredibly generous person donated $1,000. Unfortunately for everyone in attendance at the Redwood Lounge, he probably could have doubled that donation by agreeing NOT to wear a bikini.

On behalf of Alf, the Redwood Lounge and everyone at Project Healing Waters, thanks to everyone who truly made last night's Thankful Thursday party an evening to remember.
