Governor Matt Mead has selected Catherine Rogers as the new First Judicial District Court Judge for Laramie County. Judge Rogers will fill the seat vacated by Judge Peter Arnold who is retiring.Judge Rogers is currently a Circuit Court Judge in Laramie County. She graduated from Cheyenne Central High School and received a law degree at the University of Wyoming. Before being appointed to the Circuit Court, Rogers was in private practice with her father in Cheyenne.

Governor Mead said in a press release that Judge Rogers "has a proven track record presiding over hundreds of trials and she has shown a respect for the Constitution and the legal process.”

Judge Rogers said she will "endeavor to uphold the law with integrity and fairness."
