Wyoming Highway Patrol Helps Motorist With SSSlithering Hitchhiker
The Wyoming Highway Patrol is used to dealing with speeders, reckless drivers, even car thieves.
Really bad drivers, confused tourists and a few shady characters are part of the job. Maybe even a few folks who could be called ''snakes in the grass" in some cases.
But real snakes? The kind that literally slither around on the ground?
The Hissing Hitchhiker Of Interstate 80
Not usually. But then again, you never know what is going to happen on Wyoming Highways. For example, this happened near Elk Mountain on Tuesday, per the WHP Facebook page:
"A driver pulled over near Elk Mountain when he realized he had an unwanted visitor - a local gopher snake! After pulling over the driver called for help, and Troopers with the Wyoming Highway Patrol Troop H came to help.
We were able to convince the hissing hitchhiker to get out of the vehicle. The snake was let off with a stern glare, instead of a warning, as, unfortunately, we do not cover Parsletongue in the academy...yet.
