The freaks and geeks are taking over downtown Cheyenne this weekend as the Historic (and haunted) Plains Hotel hosts the second annual Chey-Fy Comic Expo.

The event, which kicks off tonight and runs through Sunday, will feature appearances by several actors, artists, and writers, along with local vendors, anime film screenings, cosplay seminars, a movie makeup demonstrations, and several autograph signing and photo sessions.

Among the notable names scheduled to appear is actor Dameon Clarke, best known for his roles in 24, Graceland, Supernatural, and the acclaimed indie film How to Be a Serial Killer. Clarke will be joined at the festival by "Green Hornet" and "Terminator" comic book writer Ron Fortier, Mystery Collection magician Paul Noffsinger, anime voice actress Laura Landa, and the voice of video game character "Duke Nukem", singer and voice actor Jon St. John.

The Chey-Fy Comic Expo runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. tonight, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, with after-parties to follow at Danielmark's Brewery on Friday night, the Asher Building on Saturday, and Flippers Family Arcade on Sunday.

Single-day tickets are $25 and children 12-and-under are free when accompanied by a paid adult. Three-day festival passes are $50. There are also several $75 V.I.P. passes available, which include early expo access and admission to a private lunch with the celebrity guests.
