Police in Fort Collins are trying to find the person who broke into a woman's home earlier this month, ransacked her home and stole her underwear.

According to a post on the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook page, the victim got home from work on the evening of Feb.10 to find that her apartment in the 2000 block of Battlecreek Drive had been ransacked and her undergarments had been stolen.

Police so far don't have any suspects in the case but are concerned about the potential sexual motivation for the crime. They are asking that anyone who knows anything about the case or any woman who has had underwear stolen to come forward.

The Facebook post includes the following comments:

“'If an item of clothing goes missing, people usually just assume it was misplaced,” said Sgt. Heather Moore, who leads the Crimes Against Persons Unit. “However, if personal items disappear or things in your home seem out of place, we strongly encourage you to make a report. Your tip may be our best lead.”

Anyone with information about this incident or other similar incidents are asked to contact Officer RJ Tuttle at 970-416-2825 or tipsline@fcgov.com. People who wish to remain anonymous may also contact Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868 or www.stopcriminals.org.''
