Flooding Concerns Continue East of I-25 in Southeast Wyoming
With more rain in the forecast Tuesday, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne warns the flood threat is not over.
The agency issued the following statement Tuesday morning:
A Flood and Flash Flood Watch continues for counties in the Nebraska Panhandle and west into east-central Wyoming through early Wednesday, highlighted in green. Today promises to be even more conducive for widespread heavy rainfall that could cause additional flooding. An additional 1-2 inches of rain is possible. Soils are saturated and ripe to flood if a thunderstorm or rain-shower stalls or moves slowly over an area.
