First Presbyterian Cheyenne Celebrates 150 Years [AUDIO]
The First Presbyterian Church of Cheyenne invites you to one of many events as they celebrate 150 years in Cheyenne. “Celebrating the Past – Looking to the Future.” The church invites you to celebration the weekend of May 17-19 as the church was founded on May 18, 1869, by Presbyterian Missionary, Rev. Sheldon Jackson.
A Friday evening social “Memory Lane Festivities” will take place on May 17 at 6 pm in the church parlor. The anniversary banquet will be on Saturday, May 18, at the Kiwanis Community House starting at 4 pm. For late reservations, call 631-0812.
A pancake breakfast will begin the day at 8 am on Sunday, May 19, in the church Fellowship Hall. Children’s Sunday School, which starts at 9 am, will feature a 150th birthday celebration.
The public is invited to join a tour of the stained-glass window collection on Sunday, May 19, at 8:30 am. The tour will begin in the church sanctuary.
