Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says the first day of early voting in the county on Tuesday set an all-time record, with 754 voters casting ballots.

That's according to a news release from the County Clerk's Office.

Yesterday's total more than doubled the previsous record of 313 set during the height of the COVID pandemic.

According to the release Early voting continues in the atrium of the Laramie County Governmental Complex, 309 W. 20th St., through Nov. 4. The early voting polling place is open weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for county holidays. There will be no early voting on Monday, Oct. 14, because of Columbus Day.

Information On Satteliite Voting Events

Several sattlelite voting events are also planned, according to the release. Those include Sat., Oct. 12, at the Burns Plex, 327 S Main, in Burns from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and at the Albin Community Center, 430 5th Ave., in Albin from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Early voting is also available on Sun., Oct. 20, at the Laramie County Library, Cottonwood Room, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lee says her office has mailed out about 5,300 absentee ballots so far. You can ask for an absentee ballot here.
