Officials at F.E. Warren Air Force Base say a situation stemming from a ''suspicious package" on Thursday that prompted an evacuation of areas near the based has been resolved and that there is no threat to the base or the surrounding community.

That's according to a Friday morning news release from the 90th Missile Wing at F.E. Warren

Package Was Spotted A Little Before 8 a.m.

The release says the package was located near Gate 1 near the intersection of Randall Avenue and Pershing at 7:42 a.m.

F.E. Warren emergency personnel worked with the Cheyenne Police Department. Laramie County Sheriff's Office and Wyoming Highway Patrol to manage traffic control and maintain public safety during the evacuation.
