JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A former Jackson family who sued Teton County schools in 2016 following its son's playground brain injury has reached a final settlement agreement.

The parties reached an agreement on Nov. 23.

The family's lawyer, Jon Moyers, says he can't go into detail about the settlement because a minor was involved.

In court documents, father Bill Fix and his wife, Tasmin, say their son fell off playground equipment as an 8-year-old student at Wilson Elementary School in 2014 and suffered a traumatic brain injury that forced him to miss two months of second grade.

The school district stated that the playground was "secure and that adequate supervisions were provided" to the student at the time of the alleged accident and denied negligence.

The Fix family now lives in Hawaii.
