DUI Suspect Tackled, Hogtied Following Hit-&-Runs, Crash in Cheyenne
A suspected drunk driver is behind bars after allegedly hitting several vehicles and crashing his van into a shed at a Cheyenne apartment complex.
According to police, officers were investigating a hit-and-run with injuries at E. Lincolnway and Hot Springs Avenue on Friday, when they were called to more hit-and-runs involving the same vehicle at Converse Avenue and Dell Range Boulevard.
Police say victims and bystanders followed the driver to an apartment complex on King Arthur Way where he crashed his van into a shed.
When the driver attempted to run away from the scene, a woman reportedly tackled the man and hogtied him with bungee cords until police arrived.
The man, who has not been identified, was arrested for suspected DUI.
