Laramie county Clerk Debra Lee  on Friday issued the following statement:

""The Laramie County Clerk’s office acknowledges receipt of a complaint filed by the Wyoming Republican Party and candidates Ben Hornok, Clarence Styvar, Taft Love, Dallas Tyrrell, and Kathy Scigliano concerning the methodology of testing of two tabulators used to count absentee ballots.

No errors occurred during the certified test conducted, and none of the complaints allege an error has occurred.  The County maintains full confidence in the accuracy and operation of all our voting equipment and will respond fully to all complaints and litigation filed.

The complaint seeks to disrupt our current primary election and force my office to provide alternative means for counting ballots expected to be cast by more than 5700 absentee voters in Laramie County.

We are in close communication with the Secretary of State’s certified election equipment vendor to address the GOP’s concerns about testing methodology.''

Wyoming GOP Announces Lawsuit

The Wyoming Republican Party posted the following statement on it's Facebook page last week:

This week, the Laramie County Clerk failed to test voting systems using the legally required procedures, missing the deadline and potentially compromising the reliability of vote counts for the upcoming primary election.
Wyoming law mandates accurate testing of electronic voting systems. Ignoring these safeguards is unacceptable. That's why the Wyoming Republican Party, alongside Laramie County candidates, filed a lawsuit to ensure election integrity.
We thank the Wyoming Patriots for contributing to this crucial court challenge. Your support is vital in preserving our freedoms and ensuring every vote counts.
Election integrity is our No. 1 priority. Join us in this fight—donate today to help us preserve free and fair elections!''
The lawsuit is asking that the machines not be used to count votes in the Aug. 20 Primary election and that some other method is used to count those ballots.
