Another fugitive on the Laramie County Sheriff's Office's "Most Wanted" list has been captured, just 10 hours after he was added to the list.

According to a booking sheet, 63-year-old Cheyenne resident Jack Bruce Ornelas was taken into custody at his home at 719 Broken Wheel Ct. at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, after deputies knocked on his door with an arrest warrant.

Ornelas, a registered sex offender, was being sought on a felony warrant out of Laramie County District Court for violating his probation in a child sex abuse case.

Judge Steven Sharpe signed the warrant on March 21, 2024.

According to the Wyoming Sex Offender Registry, Ornelas was convicted of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor under 13 years of age on Nov. 7, 2016.
