Cheyenne Transient Accused of Head-Butting, Choking Friend
A 47-year-old Cheyenne transient is facing a felony charge after reportedly head-butting and choking his friend.
Physical Disturbance Leads to Felony Arrest
According to a booking sheet, police were called to a physical disturbance at a home in the 800 block of Windmill Road at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19.
Police say the reporting person told them he was lying in bed and was assaulted by Charles Edward Head, a friend he had over.
'Head-Butted' and 'Choked'
Police say the victim had head injuries to his nose and mouth with dried blood on his face and mouth and told them that Head "head-butted" him multiple times and "choked" him.
Police say when they tried to contact Head, who'd locked himself in a room, he refused to open the door, so they had to force it open.
Head was then forced to the ground, handcuffed, taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for jail clearance, and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.

Head Charged With Aggravated Assault, Interference
Head was subsequently charged with aggravated assault and battery - causes or attempts to cause serious bodily injury, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and interference with a peace officer - no injury, a misdemeanor.
Bond Set at $5K Cash
Head made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday, April 21, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, April 28, at 10 a.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
