Cheyenne Man Caught With Cocaine After Passing Out in McDonald’s Drive-Thru
A 32-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony drug charges after reportedly passing out in a McDonald's drive-thru with nearly two dozen bags of cocaine in his vehicle.
According to a booking sheet, police were dispatched to the McDonald's at 2535 E. Lincolnway at about 3:19 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 for a male passed out in the drive-thru.
While checking on the passed-out driver, later identified as Benjamin Charles Stephenson, police reportedly observed multiple small plastic bags of suspected narcotics, which were field-tested and came back positive for cocaine.
23 Bags of Cocaine
Police say there were 23 bags of cocaine in total, which weighed 19.26 grams with packaging.
Police say Stephenson said he didn't know what was in the bags and claimed he couldn't remember how he ended up at McDonald's.
Stephenson was arrested and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without issue, and subsequently charged with felony possession of cocaine and felony manufacture or delivery.

Bond Set at $5K Cash
Stephenson made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Tuesday, Oct. 8, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
