Cheyenne Transient Arrested on Felony Marijuana, Gun Charges
A 48-year-old Cheyenne transient is facing a handful of charges following a late-night traffic stop in south Cheyenne.
According to a booking sheet, Terrance Nigel Thomas was arrested at the Sinclair at 100 N. Greeley Hwy. at 11:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, after a deputy with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office stopped him for failing to maintain a lane.
The deputy says he smelled marijuana coming from Thomas' car and observed a marijuana pipe on the driver's side floorboard.
Thomas was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for felony possession of marijuana, two felony counts of felon in possession of a firearm, felony sale/delivery of marijuana, and misdemeanor driving under the influence.
Thomas is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 10:15 a.m.
