
Cheyenne Woman Wanted for Burglary and Theft Arrested
A 57-year-old Cheyenne woman being sought on felony charges of burglary and theft is now behind bars.
According to a booking sheet, Velma Louise Johnson was arrested at her home in the 700 block of East Allison Road at 5:59 p.m. on Monday, March 24.
Felony Warrant
The arresting Laramie County Sheriff's deputy says Johnson had a warrant out of Laramie County for burglary and theft over $1,000 (shoplifting), each of which is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Circuit Court Judge TJ Forwood signed the warrant on March 21, 2025.
Johnson was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without incident, where she was booked on her warrant.

Bond Set at $5K Cash
On Tuesday, March 25, Johnson was seen in Circuit Court on the charges.
Her bond was set at $5,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, April 4, at 9 a.m.
