A 29-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing charges after she was reportedly caught driving impaired and with LSD.

According to a booking sheet, Deborah Miquelle Schaaf was arrested at 11:05 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2024, after a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy stopped her at East Lincolnway and Morrie Avenue for no taillights.

Traffic Stop Leads to LSD Tabs

The deputy says Schaaf had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech and admitted to drinking one beer and using a THC vape.

Schaaf reportedly completed field sobriety tests and the deputy determined she was too impaired to drive safely.

When the deputy searched Schaaf, he reportedly found LSD tabs in her jacket pocket.

Schaff was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for a blood draw, to the Sheriff's Office's Criminal Investigation Division for a drug recognition expert evaluation, and then to the Laramie County Detention Center without issue.

Schaaf was subsequently charged with felony possession of LSD and misdemeanor DUI - combination of a controlled substance and alcohol.

Schaaf made her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Aug. 19, 2024, during which her bond was set at $1,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 26, 2024, at 11 a.m.

Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
