Cheyenne Man Accused of Strangling Woman to Death
A 68-year-old Cheyenne man has been charged in connection with a 2023 homicide, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday.
According to a booking sheet, Charrie Watkins was found dead at a home in the 7600 block of Grace Road on Nov. 8, 2023.

"After an autopsy, the pathologist determined that the likely cause of death was manual strangulation and ruled the death a homicide," Public Information Officer Brandon Warner said in a news release.
Through an investigation, it was determined that Robert Edward Green II was the only one at the home with Watkins the prior night.
Warner didn't know what the two's relationship was.
Green was arrested on Tuesday, March 5, on a Laramie County warrant for failing to comply with his bond conditions on an original charge of third-offense DUI.
The warrant was signed by Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams on Feb. 27, 2024.
Green was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on his warrant, and on Wednesday, charged with felony second-degree murder and felony strangulation of a household member - serious injury.
He's scheduled to make his initial court appearance this afternoon, March 7, at 2 p.m.
UPDATE: $500K Bond Set for Cheyenne Man Charged With Murder
Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee on Thursday set the bond in Green's murder case at $500,000 cash.
Green is scheduled to be back in court for his preliminary hearing on March 15 at 10:30 a.m.
