A 64-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after reportedly stealing a trailer.

According to a booking sheet, a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy arrested Michael Wayne Swanson on Otto Road at Interstate 80 at 7:40 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4 for possession of a stolen trailer.

The deputy says Swanson admitted to taking the trailer from where it was parked on Otto Road between Roundtop Road and West Lincolnway.

Swanson was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

Bond Set at $3K Cash

Swanson made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Wednesday, Nov. 6, during which his bond was set at $3,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 2:30 p.m.
