Cheyenne Man Charged With Aggravated Assault
A 21-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault.
Warrant Execution
According to a booking sheet, Kevin Tomas Gomez was arrested at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 after a warrant execution at his home in the 300 block of Arkel Way.
The arresting Laramie County Sheriff's deputy says Gomez had an active Laramie County warrant for aggravated assault and battery - attempts to cause, or intentionally or knowingly causes bodily injury to another with a deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
The deputy says Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams signed the warrant on Nov. 4, 2024.
Gomez was handcuffed and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked on his warrant without issue.
Bond Set at $3K Cash or Surety
Gomez made his initial appearance in Circuit Court on Monday, Dec. 2, during which his bond was set at $3,000 cash or surety and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.
