A 38-year-old Cheyenne man is behind bars after allegedly threatening two females with a handgun.

According to a booking sheet, a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy arrested Jonathan Douglas Potter at 1004 Alice Ct. at 2:12 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17.

Potter was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked on two counts of aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Alcohol Involved

The arresting deputy says the alleged crime involved alcohol, but it's unknown if drugs were involved.

Potter is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Sean C. Chambers on Friday, June 20, at 1:30 p.m.
