Two teens are behind bars after leading authorities on a chase in a stolen truck, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office says.

Search for Runaway Juveniles Leads to Stolen Truck Chase, Arrests

According to a Facebook post, it all started around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12, after deputies were called to the area east of Cheyenne to search for two reported runaway juveniles.

"While conducting the search, deputies received a separate report of a stolen truck in the same vicinity," the post reads.

Within minutes, a deputy reportedly located the stolen truck and tried to pull it over, but the driver took off.

"The pursuit concluded in the 3500 block of Barbell Court, where the occupants—identified as the runaway juveniles—exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot," the post reads.

"With the assistance of the Wyoming Highway Patrol, both juveniles were quickly apprehended without further incident."

Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Warner says the juveniles, both 16-year-old males, were booked into the Laramie County Juvenile Services Center.

Investigation Ongoing, Charges Pending

The Sheriff's Office says the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
