Southeast Wyoming residents can expect a cool and cloudy day today followed by warmer temperatures this weekend, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.

The agency posted the following on its website:

Expect a cooler day as cloudy skies along and east of I-25 gradually break up from west to east through the day. Watch for areas of dense fog near the I-80 summit this morning! A few very isolated storms are possible this afternoon mainly in Laramie county and the southern NE panhandle. If storms develop, they will have the potential to become strong to severe.

But this weekend should see a warming trend:
