Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits at the intersection of Central Avenue and Yellowstone Road through the Summer and into the fall as road work at the intersection continues into the fall, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

Project Expected to Halt During CFD

The project will be halted during Cheyenne Frontier Days but will resume soon after. The work includes concrete slab repair work performed by crews with Simon Construction and the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

According to the release: "Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits. The public is encouraged to obey all posted signs, signals, flaggers and other traffic control and avoid distractions like cell phones while driving through work zones."

The WYDOT release says that while the work is slated to be finished this fall, inclement weather and material availability could cause delays.
