In honor of the Marine Corps 243rd birthday the Ed Herschler Detachment #772 of the Corp League and The Planes Hotel are inviting all current and retired Marines to come celebrate.

The history of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) begins 10 November 1775 with the founding of the Continental Marines to conduct ship-to-ship fighting, provide shipboard security and discipline enforcement, and assist in landing forces. The Corps is still under the leadership of the U.S. Navy.

The beer is free to all Marines while the keg last. They are suggesting that some of you might want to book a room at the hotel so you don't have to drive home. That sounds like a good idea.

The event is open to the public.

Cocktails will be served from 6pm till 7pm. A ceremony commences at 7pm followed by dinner, raffle, drawings and dancing.

One item of the raffle table will be a vintage M1903 Springfield rifle.

To purchase tickets visit their FaceBook page or their website.
