The College National Finals Rodeo moved along in Casper on Wednesday night and the bareback event was lively at the Ford Center. Weston Timberman of Clarendon College in Texas climbed to the top of the average with an 80.5 to get to 242 on 3. Timberman is the defending CNFR champion in this event and his uncle, Kelly Timberman is a Mills, Wyoming native and a former PRCA world champion in the bareback. Cooper Filipek of Gillette College is 2nd in the average of this event with an 83.5 last night so he sits at 239.5 on 3. Thermopolis native Roedy Farrell turned in a 77 to get to 3rd in the average sits at 231.5 on 3. Farrell competes for Tarleton State in Texas and is a 3-time Wyoming High School wrestling state champion.

In the men's team standings, Gillette College is running 4th, the University of Wyoming 10th, and Casper College 12th.

In barrel racing, Haiden Thompson of Yoder competing for Gillette College had a time of 14.29 and is 11 in the average. She is a former high school national champion. McKenna Clingman from Laramie is making her 4th appearance at the CNFR and is currently 2nd in the average of the goat tying after a 6 and 5 last night. She competes for Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction. LCCC's Kassidy Dunagan is 6th in the average of the breakaway roping with a time of 21.2 on 3.

In the women's team standings, LCCC is 8th, UW 10th, and Gillette College 23rd.
