James Perrin of Casper College Wins National Championship at CNFR
Canadian saddle bronc rider James Perrin was convinced he could improve a lot under the tutelage of Casper College coaching and getting on a practice horse from the Forbes family out of Kaycee, WY. Perrin was perfectly correct and is now the 2025 college national champion, having won the CNFR in Casper Saturday night on Summit Pro Rodeo’s Wandering Witch in sync for an 84.5-point ride.

He took top honors with 324.5 on 4 with a 1st place finish in the 1st go, 2nd in the short go, the #3 slot in the 2nd go and 5th in the 3rd go-round Perrin was responsible for well over half of the T-Bird men’s points that took them to fourth place in the 2025 national team standings. Hard work does pay off.
